Rest assured that all data transferred using the Peer-To-Peer transfer service is encrypted and no data is saved on our server. Industry standard web technologies are used securing the data transfer. This includes Transport Layer Security (TLS) commonly known as SSL using WebSockets. As protection of patient data is of utmost importance, additional encryption has been added inside the SSL connection. Each peer creates a new public/private key pair, sharing the public key for the exchange, allowing only those two peers to derive a symmetric key used to encrypt/decrypt the data. Received Peer-To-Peer studies are full fidelity DICOM format that can be sent to your PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) or viewed in the application. This saves the time to create, send, import CDs as well as the associated costs and equipment maintenance.

PACS Exchange CDs are created in the non-proprietary DICOM Part 10 format for the most universal exchange of patient data.
